It was a gorgeous October weekend. I took a boat cruise on the Thames with the family, taking my daughter for the first time. We travelled from the London Eye to Greenwich (and back in the evening to see London by night). The whole trip was an illuminating one, in every sense, but the trip up the river was particularly engaging as our tour guide was a bit of a character. His commentary was an interesting one, dotted with humour and jokes which truly captivated his unsuspecting audience.
“My dog died yesterday”, he said…”had him for 6 years…but I’m going to get 2 goldfish instead of another dog and I’m going to call them ‘One’ and ‘Two’, so if One dies, at least I’ll still have Two!” (yes, yes, i know!)
He received a big round of applause at the end of the trip for all his efforts, not to mention a decent contribution for his ‘tips’ bucket.
This story is an analogy for what New Ventures aims to instill through our coaching.
